Vertid M Tablet is an anti-emetic medicine. It is used to control nausea, vomiting and for the treatment of gastroparesis and indigestion. Vertid M Tablet contains domperidone as its active ingredient.
This medicine works by improving the contraction of muscles and movement in the stomach and intestine. Domperidone works best if taken before consuming food.
Symptoms of an overdose of this medicine include difficulty in speaking, poor coordination, dizziness, fainting, irregular heartbeat, light-headedness, loss of balance and poor muscle control. Seek emergency medical attention immediately if you suspect an overdose.
If you have missed taking any dose of the Vertid M Tablet, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it's time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dose schedule. Do not take a double dose of this medicine to compensate for the missed one.
Vertid M Tablet works by blocking the action of a chemical messenger (dopamine) in the brain. Dopamine can trigger the vomiting centre and cause a feeling of nausea and the action of vomiting. Vertid M Tablet should be taken as directed by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water on an empty stomach. For best results, this medicine should be taken before food.

Especially, if you are taking antifungals, such as ketoconazole and fluconazole; antibiotics, such as erythromycin, clarithromycin, telithromycin, moxifloxacin and pentamidine; medicines for heart problems or high blood pressure eg. amiodarone, dronedarone, quinidine, disopyramide, dofetilide, sotalol, diltiazem and verapamil; medicines for psychoses (eg, haloperidol, pimozide and sertindole); medicines for depression (eg, citalopram, escitalopram) and medicines for AIDS/HIV.
