100 Happy Patients in 139 Days
When Doctar launched in India, we didn't set out to chase numbers. We set out to make one patient's life a little easier. Then another. Then another. Here's what reaching our first 100 has taught us.

100HAPPY PATIENTS
139DAYS SINCE LAUNCH
2026INDIA LAUNCH YEAR
Today, June 14, 2026 — exactly 139 days after Doctar went live in India — we crossed a number that means everything to our team: 100 happy patients.
We know what you're thinking. In a country of 1.4 billion people, 100 patients sounds modest. And you'd be right to raise an eyebrow. But in healthcare, 100 is never just a number. Behind each one is a real person — a grandmother who finally got clarity on her medications, a working professional who saw a doctor between meetings, a parent who didn't have to take half a day off work to sit in a waiting room.
Each of those 100 people trusted us. That's the number we're celebrating today.
India's healthcare access problem is well documented. There are roughly 1 doctor for every 834 people in the country — well below the WHO recommendation of 1 per 1,000. In smaller cities and towns, the gap is even wider. People travel hours for consultations that last minutes. They take unpaid leave. They wait.
Doctar was built to change that math. Not to replace the doctor-patient relationship — but to bring it closer to where people actually are: their homes, their phones, their schedules.
"Good healthcare shouldn't require a long commute, a long queue, or a long wait. It should be accessible the moment you need it."
— Doctar founding principle
Patients don't trust a platform. They trust a doctor. They trust a clear explanation. They trust getting a callback when there's a follow-up needed. Every interaction our team obsessed over — response time, prescription clarity, follow-up messages — was an investment in trust. Those 100 patients came back, or referred someone else, because the small things were right.
Online consultations can feel transactional. We went against that. Our doctors are encouraged to spend the time a case needs — not the minimum a slot allows. Patient satisfaction scores reflect this: our highest-rated consultations were not the fastest ones. They were the ones where people felt genuinely heard.
The adoption curve has been steeper than we expected — in a good way. Across age groups and geographies, people have shown they are ready and willing to consult a qualified doctor online, provided the experience is simple, private, and reliable. The demand is real. The gap we're filling is real.
One hundred patients in 139 days is a beginning. Our roadmap for the coming months focuses on three things: expanding the range of specialties available on the platform, deepening our presence in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, and making the consultation experience even more seamless for patients who are new to telehealth.
We're also building tools that help patients stay on top of their health between consultations — not just reactive care when something goes wrong, but a relationship with healthcare that's ongoing and preventive.
India needs that. And Doctar is here to build it.
To our first 100 patients: thank you for placing your health in our hands. You're not just users of a product — you're the proof that what we're doing matters. Every piece of feedback you've given us, every consultation you completed, every referral you made to a friend or family member has shaped what Doctar is becoming.
To the doctors on our platform: your expertise, patience, and commitment to quality care is what makes this work. The trust patients place in Doctar is, first and foremost, trust in you.
And to anyone still on the fence about online healthcare: we understand the hesitation. Come visit us at www.doctar.in, see how it works, and let us earn your trust — one consultation at a time.
