A comprehensive diabetes care team is vital for effective management. It typically includes an endocrinologist (for specialized care), a primary care physician, a registered dietitian or nutritionist (for guidance on diet and meal planning), a diabetes educator (for practical self-management skills), a mental health professional (to address the emotional toll of diabetes), and potentially a pharmacist, podiatrist, and ophthalmologist.
