Dr. Seema Alam is a highly experienced Gastroenterologist with 38 years of dedicated practice. She holds an MBBS and an MD in Pediatrics, bringing a specialized focus to her work. Dr. Alam joined ILBS in December 2010 as an Additional Professor of Pediatric Hepatology. Her extensive fellowship training at King's College's Pediatric Liver Unit proved instrumental in establishing the nation's first department of Pediatric Hepatology. Under her leadership, this department has experienced significant growth and development. Dr. Alam's expertise has also been crucial in the advancement of the pediatric liver transplantation program.
