Dr. Vivek Shetty

Dr. Vivek Shetty is a Consultant Surgical Gastroenterologist in Mumbai with expertise in the surgical treatment of complex gastrointestinal, liver, pancreatic, biliary, and colorectal conditions. He holds an MBBS, MS in General Surgery, and DNB in Surgical Gastroenterology, along with advanced training at reputed medical institutions in Mumbai and Bengaluru.

His clinical expertise covers Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) surgery, colorectal surgery, gastrointestinal oncology, minimally invasive and advanced laparoscopic procedures, liver transplantation, and the management of complex gastrointestinal emergencies. His surgical experience includes laparoscopic cholecystectomy, colorectal cancer surgery, stomach cancer surgery, biliary tract procedures, abdominal tumor surgery, and pancreatic operations, including the Whipple procedure.

Dr. Shetty completed his MBBS from Bangalore Medical College & Research Institute in 2008, followed by an MS in General Surgery from Seth G.S. Medical College and KEM Hospital, Mumbai, in 2013. He later completed his DNB in Surgical Gastroenterology from Jaslok Hospital & Research Centre, Mumbai, in 2017. His academic achievements include a Best Thesis Award and research publications in the fields of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary surgery.
