Abinem Injection is an antibiotic medication. It contains aztreonam as the active substance. Abinem Injection is used for the treatment of bacterial infections of the urinary tract, lower respiratory tract, skin, soft tissue, bone, joint, intra-abdomen, presence of bacteria in the blood, septicemia, gynaecological infections, and gonorrhoea.
This medicine works by killing the infection-causing bacteria. Abinem Injection will be given to you by your doctor or nurse. Do not self-inject it.
Before starting this medicine, inform your doctor if you are pregnant/breastfeeding and about your complete medical history.
The symptoms of an overdose of Abinem Injection are confusion, movement disorders, and fainting. However, since this medicine will be given to you by a doctor or nurse, the chances of an overdose are unlikely.
It is unlikely that a dose of Abinem Injection will be missed if you are monitored in a healthcare setup. However, if you have missed taking a dose of the injection, inform the doctor or nurse immediately.
Abinem Injection works by preventing the formation of the bacterial cell wall which kills the infection-causing bacteria.
Abinem Injection is contraindicated for use during pregnancy.
Abinem Injection passes into human breast milk. This medicine should not be used in breastfeeding women.
Abinem Injection may have an effect on driving ability. If you experience any effects after taking this medicine that may affect your ability to drive safely, it is advised to avoid driving.
