Acotrust Tablet contains acotiamide as its active ingredient. It is used to treat bloating after meals, upper abdominal pain, and early satiety (a feeling of fullness after only a few bites) in cases of indigestion. Acotrust Tablet works by enhancing the movement of food through the digestive tract (particularly the stomach and intestines), thereby facilitating the emptying of the stomach.
It should be taken as directed by the doctor, in the prescribed doses and duration. Before using Acotrust Tablet, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding, and provide details of your medical history. Acotrust Tablet should be taken as instructed by your doctor.
Swallow it whole with a glass of water; do not cut, break, or chew the medicine. It is advisable to take it at a fixed time for optimal results. Side effects of Acotrust Tablet may include constipation and, rarely, diarrhoea.
Seek medical attention in case you have consumed too much of Acotrust Tablet.
If you missed any dose of Acotrust Tablet, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it's time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dose schedule. Do not take a double dose of medicine to compensate for the missed one.
