Alastin AM tablet is used in the treatment of cough associated with mucous in a respiratory system. It contains ambroxol and loratadine as active ingredients. Ambroxol helps to relieve symptoms of cough and chest congestion by loosening mucus in the respiratory tract while loratadine helps to relieve symptoms of allergies such sneezing, runny nose, and itchy, watery eyes.
Take this medicine in the exact dose and duration as recommended by your doctor. Do not take more than the prescribed dose. Before taking Alastin AM tablet, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning on becoming pregnant, breastfeeding, and about your complete medical history.
This medicine should not be used in children under 6 years of age.
If you happen to take too much of Alastin AM tablet, inform your doctor or reach out to the nearest hospital immediately.
This medicine must be taken as per the prescribed dosage. In case of a missed dose, it is advisable to take this medicine at the earliest. If it is time for the next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and continue the regular dosing schedule.
Alastin AM tablet works by thinning and loosening mucus in the respiratory tract. This makes it easier to cough out and clears the airways and chest congestion. It also blocks the chemical called histamin which created in body when you are allergic to anything, thus helps to relieve symptoms of allergies, such as sneezing, runny nose, and itchy, watery eyes.
The component of this medicine may passes through the placenta. Alastin Am tablet is not advisable to be taken during the first trimester of pregnancy. Hence,it is recommended not to use this medicine unless prescribed by your doctor.
The component of this medicine may passes into the breastmilk and can be harmful to the baby. Thus, it is recommended to avoid breastfeeding while on this medicine.
There is limited information on the effect of Alastin AM tablet on driving ability, however, do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you.
There is limited information on the interaction of alcohol with Alastin AM tablet. Ask your doctor for advice on the use of alcohol with this medicine.
