Alfugress 10mg Strip Of 10 Tablets

Alfugress Tablet contains alfuzosin, an alpha-1 adrenergic blocker, and is indicated for the treatment of symptoms associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in adult males. BPH is a non-cancerous enlargement of the prostate gland that can compress the urethra, leading to various lower urinary tract symptoms. These symptoms include difficulty initiating urination, a weak or interrupted urine stream, incomplete bladder emptying, frequent urination, and urgency.

By relaxing the smooth muscles in the bladder neck and prostate, alfuzosin improves urine flow and reduces these obstructive symptoms. The medication is also used to manage acute urinary retention, a condition where the bladder cannot empty completely. Contraindications include known hypersensitivity to alfuzosin or any other components of the tablet, severe liver impairment, and concurrent use with certain other medications that lower blood pressure.

Overdose

Overdose may increase the side effects of medicine. If you think you have taken more than required, contact your doctor immediately. Missed a Dose

If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember it. However, if it is nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.

• Benign prostatic hyperplasia is a non-cancerous condition where the prostate gland enlarges. So it presses the urethra (urine tube) and produces disturbances in the urine out flow. Thus the patient presents with symptoms like difficulty in urination, incomplete evacuation of urine, dribbling, frequent urge to go to urination and weak urine stream. In some patients, prostate gland becomes so big that it completely stops the urine outflow, this condition is called Acute urine retention.
• Alfugress Tablet relaxes the muscles of the bladder and thus improves the urine outflow, so the symptoms related to benign prostatic hyperplasia and acute urine retention improves.

Directions for Use

• Alfugress Tablet should be taken as directed by your doctor.
• Swallow it whole with a glass of water. Do not cut, break or chew the medicine.
• It should be taken with or after having your meal.
• It would be best if you took it at a fixed time for optimal results.
• You should not consume it more than that prescribed by your doctor.
