It has two active ingredients: amlodipine and atenolol. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that works by relaxing and widening blood vessels, thereby improving blood circulation and lowering blood pressure.
Atenolol is a beta-blocker that reduces the heart rate and the force of heart muscle contractions. This medication reduces blood pressure and eases the strain on the heart, thereby mitigating the risk of serious cardiovascular events, including heart attacks and strokes. It is crucial to take this medicine exactly as prescribed by a doctor for optimal results.
