Aplex Tablet contains apremilast as an active component. It is used to treat psoriatic arthritis and some moderate to severe skin conditions. This medicine reduces inflammation and redness, thus provides relief from the condition.
Take this medicine as advised by your doctor for the prescribed duration. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning pregnancy and if you are on any medications or supplements.
Symptoms of overdose are usually the same as adverse effects. If you think you have taken excessive dosage of Aplex Tablet and experience any of such signs, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital.
If you missed any dose of Aplex Tablet, take it as soon as you remember. If it's time for your next dose then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dose schedule. Do not take a double dose of medicine to compensate the missed one.
Aplex Tablet subdues the activity of an enzyme in the body called ‘Phosphodiesterase 4’, which are responsible for inflammation or reaction that creates redness, swelling, pain and warmth & results in infection or irritation. Thus, it helps in reducing the inflammation.
Aplex Tablet should be taken as directed by your doctor. Swallow it whole with a glass of water. It can be taken with or without food. It would be best if you took it at a fixed time for optimal results and should not consume it more than the quantity prescribed by your doctor.
Pregnant women should not take Aplex Tablet as it is unsafe during pregnancy. If you are a woman of childbearing age, you should discuss with your physician about the importance of birth control methods and potential hazards to the unborn baby. If you think you are pregnant or might become pregnant, discontinue the treatment and seek a safer alternative.
It is not safe to breastfeed during treatment with Aplex Tablet, as it passes into the breastmilk and may harm the newborn baby.
It is not expected that Aplex Tablet will affect your ability to drive, but if you do not feel well or are unable to be alert, you should avoid driving.
Although there is no known interaction with alcohol along with Aplex Tablet. Therefore, it is important to consult your physician if you have a habit of regular drinking.
