Aqmen - AB0316 - Sutures AB0316 AqPdsyn PDS type USP 0-6 Foils

This product is a sterile, absorbable surgical suture composed of polydioxanone. It is designed for use in approximation of soft tissues where extended wound support is required. The suture is dyed violet for enhanced visibility during surgical procedures.

Each unit is supplied in a foil pouch to maintain sterility and integrity until the point of use. The suture material is a synthetic absorbable polymer, specifically a monofilament made from polydioxanone. Its absorbable nature means it is gradually broken down by the body over time, eliminating the need for suture removal in many cases.

The absorption process is predictable and occurs through hydrolysis. The suture is presented in a USP size 0 gauge, with a length of 30 centimeters. It is pre-attached to a 37 millimeter needle, which is a 1/2 circle taper point design.

This needle type is suitable for suturing tissues that require penetration with minimal cutting action, such as fascia or delicate organs. The unidirectional nature of the needle facilitates controlled movement through tissue. The product is packaged in boxes containing 6 individual foil-wrapped sutures, ensuring multiple sterile units are available for surgical use.
