The Aqmen AM4238 is a sterile, absorbable surgical suture designed for wound closure. This product utilizes plain catgut material, a natural collagen derivative, processed to provide a pliable and strong suture. The suture is presented in a USP size 3-0, indicating its diameter and tensile strength, suitable for a range of surgical applications where moderate tissue support is required.

Each unit consists of a 76 cm length of suture material, providing sufficient length for common surgical procedures. The suture is pre-attached to a 25 mm needle, specifically a 1/2 circle round body needle, which is designed for ease of manipulation in various tissue types, particularly for penetrating soft tissues without excessive trauma. The packaging contains 12 individual foil-wrapped units, ensuring sterility until the point of use.

The absorbable nature of plain catgut means it is gradually broken down by the body's enzymatic processes, eliminating the need for suture removal in many cases.
