Aqmen - AM9352 - Sutures AM9352 AqPDsyn PDS type USP 1-12 Foils

The Aqmen AM9352 is a sterile, synthetic absorbable suture designed for use in tissue approximation. It is constructed from polydioxanone, a polymer known for its biocompatibility and predictable absorption profile. The suture is presented in a violet color for enhanced visibility during surgical procedures.

Each unit consists of a 90 cm strand of USP size 1 suture, pre-attached to a 40 mm, 1/2 circle, heavy round body needle. This configuration is intended to facilitate precise placement and secure tissue closure. The product is supplied in boxes containing 12 individual foil-wrapped units, ensuring sterility until the point of use.

The polydioxanone material undergoes hydrolysis for absorption, with the suture providing wound support for approximately 42 days. This gradual loss of tensile strength is designed to align with the natural healing process of tissues, minimizing the risk of premature dehiscence while avoiding the need for suture removal.
