Ascoril LS Junior syrup is a pediatric medicine used to treat productive cough associated with lower respiratory tract infections (acute bronchitis, pneumonia, and tuberculosis) and chronic lung diseases (chronic bronchitis and asthma) in children. It contains ambroxol, guaifenesin, and levosalbutamol as the active ingredients. Ascoril LS Junior syrup needs to be given as directed by the doctor.
You should not stop giving Ascoril LS to your child on your own, even if your child feels better after taking it for a few days. Use the measuring cup provided and the bottle to take the exact dose as your doctor prescribes. Shake the bottle well before each use.
Before starting the treatment with Ascoril LS, inform your doctor about the medication history of your child. When treating a cough, it's important to identify and address the underlying cause, such as a specific infection. Caution should be exercised when giving Ascoril LS Junior syrup to children with hypertension, cardiovascular disease, uncontrolled juvenile diabetes mellitus, hyperthyroidism, seizures, or in patients who are unusually sensitive to sympathomimetic amines.
