Atrager Injection is a muscle relaxant. It contains atracurium as the active substance. Atrager Injection is used to relax muscles and to help in the insertion of a breathing tube and with artificial breathing during surgery.
It is also used to help patients in intensive care (ICU) with artificial breathing. Atrager Injection will be given to you by your doctor or nurse. Do not self-inject it.
Before starting this medicine, inform your doctor if you are pregnant/breastfeeding and about your complete medical history.
The symptoms of an overdose of Atrager Injection are muscle paralysis for a long duration. However, since this medicine will be given to you by a doctor or nurse, the chances of an overdose are unlikely.
It is unlikely that a dose of Atrager Injection will be missed if you are monitored in a healthcare setup. However, if you have missed taking a dose of the injection, inform the doctor or nurse immediately.
Atrager Injection works by opposing the action of the chemical acetylcholine, which is responsible for muscle contraction. Thus, this opposing effect produces muscle relaxation.
The use of Atrager Injection should be avoided in the first three months of pregnancy and it should not be used during the last six months of pregnancy unless recommended by your doctor.
Atrager Injection should only be used in breastfeeding women if recommended by your doctor.
