Azurt tablet is an antibiotic containing azithromycin, used to treat various bacterial infections. These include chest infections like pneumonia, as well as infections of the sinuses, ears, throat, lungs, and skin. It is also effective against certain sexually transmitted infections, such as gonorrhoea and chlamydia.
Azithromycin functions as a broad-spectrum antibiotic by inhibiting the growth of bacteria responsible for the infection.
