Betacap Tr 120mg Cap composition has propranolol hydrochloride as its main ingredient. Propranolol is a beta blocker that acts on the heart and circulation in the body. Doctors usually prescibe Betacap Tr 120mg Cap for high blood pressure among other conditions.
Contact the doctor immediately if you have taken an overdose of the medicine. An overdose may cause symptoms such as slower heart rate, lower blood pressure, heart failure or breathing difficulty with symptoms such as fatigue, fine tremor, confusion, nausea, vomiting, body spasms, fainting or coma.
Complete the scheduled course of medicine as prescribed by a medical practitioner. If the prescribed dose is missed, take the medicine as soon as you remember. Do not take an extra dose to compensate for a missed dose.
Propranolol works by relaxing the blood vessels and slowing the heart rate. This makes the work of the heart easier as it does not have to pump hard to supply blood to the body, thus helping in reducing the blood pressure.

Medicines for hypertension, tuberculosis, pain may have interaction with propranolol. Blood thinners such as warfarin can also interact with propranolol.
