Betnovate-G Cream is a combination medicine containing Gentamicin, Betamethasone, Miconazole and Chlorocresol as its active ingredients. It helps to relieve pain, redness, swelling and itching of the skin that has been worsened by bacterial and/or fungal infection. Betnovate-G cream is meant only for external application and should be applied exactly as recommended by your doctor.
You may experience some application site reactions as side effects. However, they normally fade away with time. Please report to your doctor if you notice the side effects persist or worsen.
If you have missed applying Betnovate G cream, apply it as soon as possible. Do not over-apply this medicine just to compensate for the missed dose.
Betnovate-G cream is to be applied on topical surfaces and the quantity which might get absorbed from the skin is too little. The chances of any effect in pregnancy are rare. However, this medicine should be used only under medical supervision as components of this medicine is known to be unsafe during pregnancy. In case your doctor has prescribed this medicine, avoid using it on larger skin areas for a prolonged duration.

There is no direct interaction between alcohol and Betnovate G cream. However, alcohol is known to worsen the infection and inflammation. It's better to avoid consuming alcohol when you have been prescribed this cream.
