Caberlin Tablet contains cabergoline as its active ingredient. It is used to treat high levels of prolactin in your body. Caberlin can also be used in stopping breast milk after childbirth, stillbirth, abortion, or missed pregnancy.
This medicine should be taken as directed by the doctor and in doses and duration as prescribed. It should be taken with or after having your meals. This medicine is not recommended for use in children below 16 years of age.
An overdose of Caberlin Tablet may lead to symptoms like nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, constipation, and indigestion. If you think you have taken too much of this medicine, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital.
In case you've missed any dose of Caberlin Tablet, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose. Avoid taking a double dose to compensate for the missed one.
Caberlin Tablet works by blocking or reducing the release of a hormone in the brain called prolactin that stimulates breast milk production.
There is limited information about the effect of Caberlin Tablet during human pregnancy. Your doctor will give you this medicine only after assessing the benefits and risks. If you get pregnant while on treatment, this medicine should be discontinued immediately.
Caberlin Tablet should not be used by breastfeeding women as it stops or suppresses breast milk production. Consult the doctor before using this medication while breastfeeding.
Caberlin Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, and may also blur your vision. If you experience any such effects after taking this medicine that may affect your ability to drive safely, it is suggested to avoid driving.
You should avoid consuming alcohol while taking Caberlin Tablet, as it may worsen the side effects such as dizziness and drowsiness.
