Ceflox Eye/Ear drops are used to treat infections, allergies, and inflammation in the eyes and ears. This combination medication contains ciprofloxacin, chlorpheniramine, and zinc sulfate. It's crucial to use Ceflox Eye/Ear drops as directed by your doctor.
This medication is not suitable for viral or fungal infections, tuberculosis, eye injuries, or conditions like increased eye pressure. Common side effects may include white deposits on the eye, burning, redness, irritation, and altered taste. If you accidentally use too much, rinse your eyes immediately with lukewarm water.
Always consult your doctor before using Ceflox Eye/Ear drops, especially if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or using it for children under one year of age.
Use Ceflox Eye/Ear drops in a dose exactly prescribed by your doctor. If you have used more than the prescribed dose then rinse your eyes with lukewarm water immediately. If you have accidentally swallowed this medicine, then inform your doctor and report to nearby emergency care immediately.

Ceflox Eye/Ear drops contain three active ingredients which work together. Ciprofloxacin, an antibiotic that interferes with the DNA synthesis of bacteria and inhibits bacterial growth and multiplication. Chlorpheniramine works by opposing the action of a substance called histamine, a chemical form in the body in certain allergic conditions to relieve symptoms of allergy such as redness, itching, watering from eyes etc. Zinc sulphate is antiseptics and work by treating the irritation and infections of the eyes.
There is limited data available for use of Ceflox eye drops during pregnancy, however, as per animal studies, there can be chances of developmental side effects. So, it is advisable to consult your doctor before using this medicine if you are pregnant or likely to be pregnant in near future.
There is limited data available that Ceflox eye drops is secreted via breast milk or not, so always consult your doctor before taking this medicine if you are breastfeeding your child.
As such it does not impair driving ability after using this medicine. However, there can be a transient blurring of vision, so you should wait till vision gets clear before driving your vehicle or operating a machine.
