Overview

Ciplar LA 40 tablet is used to treat heart-related conditions such as high blood pressure, irregular heartbeats, heart-related chest pain and hypertrophic subaortic stenosis (a disorder of heart muscle). It is used to prevent heart attacks, tremors and migraines. It contains propranolol as an active ingredient.

Propanolol works by relaxing the blood vessels, which slows down the pulse, thus improving blood flow and decreasing blood pressure. Ciplar LA 40 tablet should be taken as directed by the doctor and in doses and duration as prescribed. You can take it with or without food.

Some common side effects of this medicine are fatigue, palpitations and sleep disturbances but not everybody gets them. These side effects normally go away with time, but if you feel the side effects persist, you should consult your doctor.
