The SenSura Standard Wear Light Convex Baseplate, with a 60mm coupling size, is a component of a two-piece ostomy management system. This baseplate is designed to be attached to the skin surrounding the stoma, providing a secure foundation for an ostomy pouch. Its light convex shape is engineered to apply gentle, outward pressure to the peristomal skin.

This pressure can assist in encouraging a stoma that is flush with the skin, retracted, or situated within skin folds to protrude slightly. This protrusion aims to facilitate a more effective seal between the baseplate and the stoma, thereby reducing the potential for leakage of ostomy output onto the skin. The baseplate features a mechanical coupling system designed for secure attachment to a corresponding ostomy pouch.

This coupling mechanism is intended to provide a reliable connection, with an audible confirmation signal to indicate that the pouch has been properly secured to the baseplate.
