CTZ Plus Mint Flavour Strip of 10 Tablets contains a combination of dextromethorphan hydrobromide, chlorpheniramine maleate, and phenylephrine hydrochloride. This tablet is used to treat the common cold, allergy symptoms, and flu. Dextromethorphan decreases the activity of a part of the brain that causes coughing.
Chlorpheniramine blocks the action of an allergy-causing substance called histamine. Phenylephrine reduces the swelling of blood vessels in the airways. This medicine is only available on a doctor's prescription and should be taken at a dose and for a duration prescribed by the doctor.
This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding. It is also not recommended in newborn babies. Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you are allergic to any ingredients or if you have bleeding disorders or other health problems.
Common side effects include drowsiness, dizziness, nervousness, dry mouth, nausea, and constipation. If these effects persist or worsen, seek medical help immediately.
Do not take CTZ Plus Tablet during pregnancy unless recommended by your doctor.
