It is indicated for advanced gastric or gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinoma, metastatic colorectal cancer, metastatic non-small cell lung cancer, and hepatocellular carcinoma. Ramucirumab functions by inhibiting vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR-2), thereby impeding the formation of new blood vessels that supply tumors.

This medication can be administered as a monotherapy or in combination with other antineoplastic agents, depending on the specific cancer type and treatment regimen. Potential side effects include hypertension, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Other General Warnings

Talk to your doctor if

Contraindications

• Infusion-related reactions (side effects like chills, fever, or difficulty breathing during or after an IV infusion)
