This product is a laparotomy sponge designed for use in surgical environments. It is constructed from 100% cotton gauze fabric, processed using hydrogen peroxide and de-mineralized water for bleaching. The material is formed into an 8-ply construction, providing a substantial and absorbent pad.

Each sponge measures 25 cm by 25 cm, offering a significant surface area for fluid management. The manufacturing process includes sealing all four edges to minimize the potential for lint residue to be left behind during surgical procedures. For enhanced safety and traceability during imaging, an X-ray detectable thread is integrated into the sponge.

The sponges are supplied in non-sterile packaging and are bundled in groups of five, secured with red thread to facilitate accurate counting and inventory management. This specific offering contains 15 individual sponges.
