The Datt Velfix-s Border Sacrum is a sterile, absorbent wound dressing designed for the management of wounds with moderate to heavy exudate. This dressing is constructed with multiple layers to provide a protective and healing environment. The core of the dressing is a highly absorbent polyurethane foam pad, engineered to effectively manage wound fluid and maintain a moist wound healing environment.

This foam layer is in contact with the wound bed, absorbing exudate and preventing maceration. Surrounding the foam pad is a soft, hypoallergenic silicone adhesive. This adhesive is designed to adhere to the intact skin surrounding the wound, not directly to the wound bed itself, thereby minimizing pain and trauma during dressing changes.

The outer layer is a transparent polyurethane film, which is permeable to water vapor but acts as a barrier against water and bacteria. This breathability allows excess moisture vapor to escape, preventing the accumulation of fluid under the dressing, while the barrier function helps to maintain a sterile field and protect the wound from external contaminants.
