Degalyn 80 Injection 1 No's is used for the treatment of adult patients with advanced hormone-dependent prostate cancer. It contains degarelix as its active ingredient. Prostate cancer depends on testosterone to grow. Hormone therapy reduces or blocks testosterone production in the body.

How Does It Work?

Degalyn injection reduces the amount of testosterone produced in the body. This could slow or halt the spread and growth of prostate cancer cells, which require testosterone to grow.

Directions for Use

Your doctor or nurse will administer this medicine to you. Please do not attempt to administer it yourself.

Precautions and Warnings

Pregnancy

Can I take Degalyn 80 Injection 1 No's during pregnancy?

Women who are or may become pregnant should not take Degalyn 80 Injection 1 No's.

Other General Warnings

Talk to your doctor if

• You have any heart disease or are a diabetic patient
• You get an allergic reactions after taking this medicine

Contraindications

• known hypersensitivity to degarelix or to any of the product components.
• Women or paediatric patients.

Side effects

• Hot flushes and excessive sweating, including night sweats
• Inflammation around the injection site
• High temperature and chills
• Growth of breast tissue
• Problems with erectile dysfunction
• Discomfort or pain in muscles, bones, or joints
• Rash
• Tiredness or fatigue
• Breathlessness, tiredness, and pale appearance due to a drop in red blood cells
• Weight gain
• Difficulty sleeping or getting to sleep
• Headaches
• Dizziness
• Diarrhoea
• Feeling sick
