Divon Injection is a medication formulated with diclofenac as its active ingredient, indicated for the management of pain and inflammation. It is prescribed for the relief of acute pain associated with various conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, gout, and discomfort experienced following surgical procedures. Additionally, it addresses pain arising from dental interventions and physical trauma.
The mechanism of action involves inhibiting the production of prostaglandins, which are chemical mediators responsible for the sensation of pain, swelling, and inflammation within the body. This medication is administered via injection by a qualified healthcare professional in a hospital or clinic setting. The precise dosage and the overall duration of treatment are determined based on the specific underlying medical condition of the patient.
Before initiating treatment, it is crucial for patients to inform their physician about any relevant medical history, such as smoking habits, diabetes, blood clotting disorders, or pre-existing cardiac conditions.
Divon Injection will be given by a doctor or nurse thus the chances of an overdose are unlikely. You may experience headache, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhoea, unconsciousness, excitation, dizziness, drowsiness. Inform the doctor or seek medical help.
It is unlikely that a dose of the Injection will be missed if you are monitored in a healthcare setup. However, if you have missed taking a dose of the Injection, inform the doctor or nurse immediately.
Divon Injection interfere with the production of a chemical called prostaglandins, which is responsible for the sensation of pain and swelling. It reduces pain and swelling.
Due to insufficient safety data, Divon Injection is not recommended for use in pregnant women, especially during the last trimester of pregnancy. If pregnancy is suspected or confirmed, immediate medical advice should be sought.

Concomitant use of alcohol with pain relievers may increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, and perforations in the stomach and intestines.
