Dosin D Capsule is a combination medication formulated with silodosin and dutasteride. It is indicated for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men, a condition characterized by an enlarged prostate gland. This medication works to alleviate the associated urinary symptoms, which include difficulty in initiating urination, frequent urination, increased urgency to urinate, particularly at night (nocturia), and the sensation of incomplete bladder emptying.
Silodosin, one of the active components, functions by relaxing the muscles in the prostate and bladder neck, thereby facilitating improved urine flow. Dutasteride, the other active component, works to reduce the overall size of the enlarged prostate gland over time. It is important to note that Dosin D Capsule is not intended for the treatment of prostate cancer.
The medication should be taken strictly as directed by a healthcare professional, adhering to the prescribed dosage and duration. Patients are advised to provide a comprehensive medical history to their doctor before commencing treatment.
In case of an overdose of Dosin D, contact your doctor or seek immediate medical attention at the nearest hospital, as blood pressure may drop and affect heart function.
If a dose of Dosin D is missed, take it as soon as remembered. If it is almost time for the next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and continue with the regular dosing schedule.
Dosin D Capsule is contraindicated in pregnant women.
Dosin D Capsule is contraindicated in nursing mothers.
Dosin D Capsule may cause changes in blood pressure. Patients should not drive or operate machinery until they are certain they can do so safely and are alert and stable.
