Doxybond-LB capsule is an antibiotic. It contains two components, Doxycycline and spores of Lactobacillus sporogenes. Doxycycline is an antibiotic and Lactobacillus sporogenes is a probiotic, a beneficial bacterium that is already present in the intestine of the body.
Doxybond-LB is used to treat infections within the abdomen and antibiotic-associated diarrhoea. This capsule works by killing the bacteria responsible for infection and diarrhoea and Lactobacillus sporogenes help in maintaining the normal bacterial flora of the gut. It can be used by adults and should be used with precautions in children over 8-years of age.
If you think you have taken too much of Doxybond LB medicine, then contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital.
If you missed any dose of Doxybond-LB, then take it as soon as you remember. If it's time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dose schedule. Do not take a double dose of medicine to compensate for the missed one.
Pregnant mothers should not use Doxybond-LB capsule capsules as it affects the development of teeth and bones of the foetus.
Doxybond-LB capsule capsules should not be used by breastfeeding mothers as this medicine passes in the milk and can interfere with the development of teeth and bones of the infant.
Doxybond-LB capsulecapsule does not interfere with the driving capability. However, driving in the sun should be avoided, as this medication can increase the sensitivity of the skin to the sun and may cause sunburn.

No, this medicine should not be used by children under 8-years of age and should be used with precaution in children between 8-12 years because this medicine can cause a permanent change in the colour of teeth. Hence, it should be avoided in children.
No, Doxybond-LB capsule should not be taken with milk or dairy products. This medicine belongs to a class of tetracyclines and calcium in the milk can reduce its absorption. Thus, it should not be taken with milk. You should take it on an empty stomach with plenty of water.
Antibiotics can kill or stop the growth of bacteria. So, oral antibiotics affect the growth of these friendly bacteria, which can cause issues with the digestive system like diarrhoea, indigestion, etc. The Lactobacillus present in this medicine helps in reducing antibiotic-associated diarrhoea and helps in improving the digestion process.
