Emsilac Tablet is an anti-epileptic medication. It contains lacosamide as the active substance. Emsilac Tablet is used in the treatment of seizures.
It works by stabilizing the electrical activity of neuron cells in the brain. Take this medicine in the exact dose and duration as prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop taking this medicine on your own.
Before starting Emsilac Tablet, inform your doctor if you are pregnant/breastfeeding and about your complete medical history.
Symptoms of overdose of Emsilac Tablet include nausea, vomiting, dizziness and seizures. If you think you have taken too much of this medicine, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital.
If you missed any dose of Emsilac Tablet, take it as soon as you remember. If it's time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to compensate for the missed one.
Emsilac Tablet works by inactivating the voltage-gated sodium channels and stabilizing the electrical activity of neuron cells in the brain. Therefore, it helps in controlling fits or seizures.
