Eprisan D SR capsules are used to treat pain and muscle spasms. It consists of diclofenac and eperisone that helps relieve pain associated with spasms.

Eperisone is an antispasmodic medicine that relaxes skeletal muscles and vascular smooth muscles, thereby suppressing and relieving pain. Diclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent; its primary mechanism involves inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis through COX-inhibition. This blocks the chemical messengers that cause pain.
Eprisan capsules are unsafe to use during pregnancy. It has shown evidence of an increased rate of miscarriage and risk of fetal development in the case of early pregnancy.
Due to limited studies, the safety of this capsule while breastfeeding could not be confirmed. Like other NSAIDs, diclofenac does pass in breast milk in small amounts. Therefore the risk to infants cannot be excluded, and this tablet should not be used while breastfeeding.
Driving should be avoided if symptoms like dizziness and visual disturbances are observed.
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with an Eprisan capsule.

The dosage regimen of the Eprisan capsule should be followed regularly. You do not need to change your diet. Make sure you take the entire course of the prescribed dose.
Taking anti-inflammatory medicines like diclofenac may impair fertility in women. Therefore this medicine should be avoided in women who have difficulties conceiving or those trying to conceive.
The dose and duration of the medication depend upon the response to treatment and the severity of your condition. Follow your doctor's advice and do not stop medications on your own.
