This product is a non-absorbable surgical suture constructed from stainless steel, designed for wound closure and tissue approximation. The suture material is monofilament, meaning it consists of a single strand, which can reduce drag through tissue compared to braided alternatives. Its inherent strength and inertness make it suitable for applications where prolonged tissue support is necessary.
The suture is classified as USP 6, indicating a relatively large diameter, and is supplied sterile for surgical use. Each unit contains 4 X 45 cm lengths of suture material. The product is presented in 12 individual foil packets, ensuring sterility until the point of use.
