This product is a non-absorbable surgical suture designed for wound closure. It is composed of braided silk filaments derived from the cocoon of the silk worm, Bombyx Mori. The suture is treated with a beeswax coating, which aids in handling and knot security.
The suture material is dyed black for enhanced visibility during surgical procedures. Each unit contains 76 cm of suture material. The suture is classified as USP 1, indicating its diameter and tensile strength.
The product is sterilized using radiation to ensure patient safety and prevent infection. It is supplied in a box containing 12 individual foil packages, with each package containing one suture and needle combination. The suture is intended for single use only.
