This product is a sterile, synthetic, absorbable monofilament suture designed for use in approximation of soft tissues. The suture material is composed of polydioxanone polymer, which undergoes hydrolysis in the body to break down into absorbable components. The suture is presented in a violet color, which aids in visualization during surgical procedures.
Each unit includes a 17mm needle with a 3/8 circle curvature and a taper point tip, suitable for penetrating various tissue types with reduced trauma. The needle is attached to the suture strand, creating a pre-armed configuration for immediate use. The suture diameter conforms to USP 5-0 standards, indicating a fine gauge suitable for delicate tissue repair.
The product is supplied in individual foil envelopes to maintain sterility.
