Ethicon Johnson - W8803 - Prolene Sutures USP 5-0, 1/2 Circle CC-5 Double Needle W8803 -12 Foils Box

This product consists of sterile, non-absorbable surgical sutures made from polypropylene. The suture material is a synthetic monofilament, designed for strength and minimal tissue reaction. Each suture is 60 cm in length and has a diameter corresponding to USP size 5-0.

The sutures are dyed blue to enhance visibility during surgical procedures. The non-absorbable nature of polypropylene means it retains its tensile strength indefinitely within tissue, making it suitable for long-term wound support and approximation. This material is known for its smooth passage through tissue, reducing drag and minimizing trauma.

The suture is presented with a double needle configuration, each needle measuring 11mm in length. These needles are designed with a 1/2 circle curvature and a CC-5 point, which has a diameter of 320 microns. The double needle setup allows for bidirectional suturing or for use in situations requiring simultaneous closure from opposite directions.

The suture is supplied in individual foil packs to maintain sterility until the point of use. The packaging contains 12 such foil-packaged units per box.
