Evercon Tablet contains everolimus, an immunosuppressant and anti-cancer agent. It is indicated for the treatment of certain advanced cancers, including specific types of hormone receptor-positive, HER2-negative advanced breast cancer, advanced renal cell carcinoma (kidney cancer), and progressive, well-differentiated neuroendocrine tumors of pancreatic origin. Additionally, everolimus is used to prevent organ rejection in patients who have received kidney, heart, or liver transplants, typically in combination with other immunosuppressive agents.
Its mechanism involves inhibiting the mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR), a protein that plays a central role in cell growth, proliferation, and survival. By modulating the mTOR pathway, everolimus helps to suppress immune responses, thereby preventing rejection of transplanted organs. In oncology, this inhibition also contributes to its anti-tumor activity by reducing tumor cell proliferation, angiogenesis (blood vessel formation), and metabolism, ultimately slowing down the growth and spread of cancer cells.
In case you’ve missed any dose of Evercon Tablet, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose. Avoid taking a double dose to compensate for the missed dose.
Everolimus works by reducing the blood supply to the tumour, thus slowing down the growth & spread of cancer cells.
