Fudosis Cream is a topical antibiotic. It contains sodium fusidate as the active ingredient. It works by killing the bacteria that cause infections.
Fudosis Cream is used to treat bacterial skin infections such as impetigo (a weeping, crusty and swollen patch of skin), infected dermatitis (inflammation of the skin) and spots, and infected cuts and grazes. Do not use this medicine to treat any other skin conditions other than that prescribed by your doctor. Fudosis Cream is meant for external application only.
Do not use more of the medicine or apply it more often than recommended.
Fudosis Cream is meant for external application, and hence cases of overdose are unlikely. However, upon accidental ingestion, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital. If you have applied extra quantities of it, wipe out the excess of the medicine with tissue or cotton
If you have missed applying Fudosis Cream, apply it as soon as possible. If it's time for your next application, then skip the missed application and continue with your regular application schedule. Do not over-apply this medicine to compensate for the missed application.
Fudosis Cream acts by preventing the process of protein generation in the bacteria. Due to the lack of protein synthesis, the bacteria ultimately die.
Fudosis Cream can be used in pregnancy if recommended by your doctor. If you are pregnant, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before using this medicine. Tell your doctor if you become pregnant while using this medicine.
There is limited information available if Fudosis Cream passes into human breast milk. If recommended for use by your doctor, avoid applying this medicine on your breasts to avoid contact between the nursing infant and Fudosis Cream.
Fudosis Cream has no effect on driving ability. However, if you experience any effects after using this medicine which may affect your ability to drive safely, it is advised to avoid driving.
There is limited information regarding the interaction of Fudosis Cream with alcohol. Ask your doctor for advice on alcohol intake along with this medicine.
