Glizid M tablet is an oral anti-diabetic medicine. It contains a combination of gliclazide and metformin as active ingredients. Glizid M is used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus, a condition where blood sugar level rises above the normal range when it cannot be controlled by diet and exercise alone.

Glizid M tablet should be taken as directed by your doctor. Swallow it whole with a glass of water, do not cut, break or chew the medicine. It should be taken with food. It would be best if you took it at a fixed time for optimal results and should not consume it more than that prescribed by your doctor.

If you missed any dose of medicine, then take it as soon as you remember. However, if it's time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dose schedule. Do not take a double dose of medicine to compensate for the missed one.
Glizid M tablet acts by stimulating insulin secretion from the β-cells of the pancreas and increasing the amount of insulin released by the pancreas. It also helps to restore the body's proper response to the insulin it naturally produces.
A diet should be high in fibre and low in fat, with adequate protein, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals. Maintain regular meal timings and try to have 2-3 healthy snacks between meals, like soups and salads. The diet should include boiled, steamed, or baked food. Ensure moderate use of edible oils (groundnut oil, olive oil) and very less use of ghee and butter. Drink at least 8-10 glasses of water daily.
You should never stop taking the Glizid M tablet without consulting your doctor. Abrupt stopping of the medicine can result in a sudden rise in blood glucose levels and cause further harm to the kidney and other organs.
Glizid M should be taken exactly as advised by the doctor. It should preferably be taken with food to avoid stomach upset. It is better to take it at the same time everyday to get maximum benefit.
