Glymox Plus 1gm Injection is a combination of medicine containing amoxicillin and cloxacillin which are antibiotics. It is used for the treatment of respiratory tract infection, skin and soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections etc. Amoxicillin works by inhibiting the formation and repair of the outer covering of bacteria which kills bacteria responsible for the infection.
Cloxacillin works by inhibiting the formation of the outer covering of bacteria which kills bacteria responsible for the infection. Cloxacillin works against some bacteria which are not killed by amoxicillin. Nausea, loose motion, skin rash are some of the side effects of using this medicine.
If side effects do not go away on their own or your condition doesn't improve over time then inform your doctor.
Limited information is available on the use of this medicine in pregnancy. Use this medicine in pregnancy only if prescribed by your doctor.
Components of this medicine are known to pass in breastmilk and can cause harm to breastfed babies. This medicine to be taken by lactating mother only if prescribed by the doctor.
This medicine can cause dizziness, etc. Avoid driving if you feel dizzy after taking this medicine.
Alcohol is not known to interact with this medicine. However, you should avoid using alcohol as it can delay the healing or decrease the body's response to infection/injury.
Talk to your doctor if
This injection will be given by a doctor or nurse thus chances of overdose are unlikely. However, if you experience any discomfort or specific symptoms inform your doctor or reach out to the nearest hospital.
It is unlikely that the dose of this injection will be missed if you are monitored in a healthcare set up. However, if you have missed to take any dose of this injection inform your doctor or nurse immediately.
