Additionally, Dyspeptic Injection is prescribed for Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, a rare condition characterized by the formation of tumors, typically in the pancreas or upper small intestine, that lead to overproduction of gastric acid. The active pharmaceutical ingredient in Dyspeptic Injection is pantoprazole. Pantoprazole is classified as a proton pump inhibitor (PPI).

This class of medications works by significantly reducing the amount of acid secreted into the stomach. By inhibiting the proton pumps in the stomach lining, it helps to alleviate symptoms and promote healing in acid-related disorders.

Dosage

Other General Warnings

Talk to your doctor if

• You have severe liver problems.
• You are taking medicines used to treat HIV.
• You notice significant & unintentional weight loss, recurrent vomiting, difficulty in swallowing, blood in vomit and anaemia.
• You have ever had an allergic reaction after taking pantoprazole in the past.
• If you are taking this medicine for more than one year, it may increase the chances of developing bone fractures.
• You are scheduled to have a blood test (Chromogranin A).
• If you get rash on your skin on exposure to the sun, inform your doctor.
• If you are on this medicine for more than three months, your blood magnesium levels may drop. Your doctor may perform regular tests for the same.
