I Con pills are oral contraceptive pills containing a combination of ethinylestradiol, a semisynthetic estrogen and desogestrel, synthetic progesterone. It helps prevent the fertilization of the egg by sperm, thereby reducing the chances of unplanned pregnancy. This medication can be taken with or without food.
If you vomit immediately after taking the pill or within 4-5 hours of intake, take another pill. Side effects like breast pain, headache, and nausea are commonly seen; if you experience severe pain for a prolonged time, inform your doctor. It should be stored at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
In case of overdose, you may experience dizziness, nausea, or lightheadedness. If you experience these symptoms, visit the nearest hospital or contact your doctor immediately.
If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If the next dose is approaching, skip the missing dose. Instead, use your next dose at the same time every day. Do not take two pills at once.
Both Ethinylestradiol and desogestrel act together to stop ovulation during the mid-cycle phase of the menstrual cycle, preventing conception.
As this pill is an oral contraceptive, it is highly unsafe to take during pregnancy. I Con pills should not be taken during pregnancy. Consult your doctor for more information.
I Con pills are unsafe as small amounts of active components are excreted in breast milk. Therefore, I Con pills should be avoided.
I Con pills do not affect your driving ability.
