Ibset Tablet contains ramosetron as its active ingredient that is used to treat or prevent symptoms like vomiting and nausea associated with any surgery or chemotherapy. It belongs to the class of medicines called antiemetic. You should take this medicine as directed by your doctor and follow the prescribed dosage and duration for an effective treatment.
This medicine has some side effects also like diarrhoea, constipation, headache, hot flushes, etc. that usually go away with time. In the case of elderly patients, pregnant women and nursing mothers, it is strictly advised to consult a doctor.

Serotonin is a natural hormone that is responsible for nausea and vomiting. Ramosetron works by binding itself to a receptor called 5-HT₃ and suppresses the binding of serotonin to it. Therefore, helps in preventing nausea and vomiting.

No, it is not recommended for nursing mothers unless it is prescribed by a doctor depending upon the clinical condition. This medicine passes into the breastmilk and it can cause adverse effects to the suckling child. So it would be best to stop nursing when you are on this medicine.
Yes, sometimes it may show some temporarily adverse effects like a headache, hot flushes, constipation, itching, hiccups, etc. but usually these symptoms disappear on their own.
