Intaxel injection is an anti-cancer medication containing paclitaxel as its main component. It is used in the treatment of ovarian cancer, lung cancer (non-small cell lung cancer) and breast cancer and may be given alone or in combination with other medicines. injection will be given to you in a hospital or clinic by a doctor or nurse.
You should avoid self-injecting. Other medications can interact with this medicine, so disclose all current medications to your doctor. Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you have heart, liver, or kidney issues or are on infection treatment.
It is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and effective contraception is essential for both males and females during treatment to prevent pregnancy.
The doctor or nurse usually gives this injection in the hospital or clinic. Therefore, the chances of missing a dose are less. However, if you feel that a dose has been missed, please inform your doctor and nurse.
This injection will be given to you by a doctor or nurse. Therefore, it is less likely that you may get an overdose on this medicine. If you experience any symptoms right after taking this injection, seek medical help.
Paclitaxel, a chemotherapy medication, works by interfering with microtubules, which are essential structures within cells. Microtubules help cells divide and function properly. Paclitaxel stabilizes microtubules, preventing them from breaking down as they normally should. This disruption in the cell division process can lead to cell death, particularly in cancer cells.

Breastfeeding must be discontinued while on treatment with Intaxel injection.
This medicine may make you feel dizzy; caution is needed while driving or operating machines.
Avoid consuming alcohol while on treatment with this medicine.
