Itrostred Gel is a topical antifungal. It contains itraconazole as the active substance. Itrostred Gel is used to manage fungal infections (tinea, a type of fungus) of the head, beard, chest, back, fingers, fungal nail infections, and other skin areas of the body.
It is also used to treat candida infections of the skin called candidiasis. Itrostred Gel works by eliminating the fungus from the site of infection by killing it. Use this medicine exactly as recommended by your doctor.
Do not apply more than the prescribed dose or for longer periods than directed by your doctor. Itrostred Gel is meant for external use only and should not be ingested. Before using Itrostred Gel, inform the doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding and about your detailed medical history.

Itrostred Gel works by eliminating the fungus from the site of infection by killing it. It blocks a chemical required for the proper formation of the fungal cell wall. This blockage stops the growth of the fungus and leads to fungal death.
