Kabimol Infusion is an intravenous pharmaceutical preparation containing paracetamol, designed for the short-term management of pain and reduction of fever. This medication is specifically indicated for situations where oral administration is not feasible, such as in the immediate post-operative period or for patients unable to swallow oral medications. Paracetamol, the active ingredient, exerts its therapeutic effects by interfering with the synthesis and release of prostaglandins.
Prostaglandins are endogenous chemical mediators that play a crucial role in the body's inflammatory response, the perception of pain, and the regulation of body temperature. By modulating these substances, paracetamol effectively reduces both pain and fever. The administration of Kabimol Infusion is performed under direct medical supervision within a controlled healthcare setting.
It is imperative that patients disclose their complete medical history to their healthcare provider prior to receiving this infusion to ensure its safe and appropriate use.
The injection will be administered by the doctor or nurse, so the chance of an overdose is very low. However, in case of an overdose you may experience nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite and stomach ache.
You will be administered by health professionals as to when the medicine should be given to you. So the chance of missing a dose is very low. But if you think they might have missed a dose, inform them.
There are some chemicals in the body called prostaglandins. These are substances that cause pain, swelling and fever. Kabimol Infusion contains paracetamol which blocks the production of these prostaglandins, thus temporarily controlling fever or pain. And as it acts on the part of the brain which controls the temperature of the body, it controls the fever.
Kabimol Infusion is administered intravenously by a doctor or nurse in a hospital setting. This medication is not intended for self-administration.
Kabimol Infusion can be used during pregnancy if the doctor recommends. But it should be used for a short duration in low doses and not too frequently by pregnant women.

Paracetamol is not likely to affect your ability to drive or use machines.
It is advised not to consume alcohol during the treatment. Especially if you have an existing liver condition and you drink too often.

Pain and burning sensation at the site of injection.
Some medicines can affect the way Kabimol Infusion works or Kabimol Infusion itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time. Tell your doctor about all the medicines, supplements or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interaction. Especially if you are taking other pain killers, blood thinners and medicine for the treatment of gout.
