Levolin Respule contains levosalbutamol as its active ingredient. It belongs to the bronchodilator class of medicine and acts by relaxing the muscles of the lungs. This widening of the airways in the respiratory tract helps in relieving the symptoms of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
To gain optimal benefits, it is important to use this medicine as directed by your doctor for the prescribed duration.
Excess of the Levolin Respule can cause seizures, chest pain, altered blood pressure, increased heart rate and beats, nervousness, headache, tremor, dry mouth, nausea, dizziness, fatigue and sleeplessness. If you think you have taken too much of the Levolin Respule, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital.
If you have missed any dose of the Levolin Respule dosage, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it's time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with the next dose. Do not take an extra dose to compensate for the missed dose.
Levosalbutamol acts by relaxing the muscles of the airway tract. Thus, widening the airways of the lungs, further aids in non-obstructed airflow into the lungs.
This medicine is taken by inhalation only, using your nebuliser, as instructed by a physician. It must not be injected or swallowed. Twist off the respule top and squeeze all the liquid into the nebuliser. It should be used right away after opening. If you are not correctly breathing in medicine, it may not be of help.

Levolin Respule is generally safe to take while breastfeeding. However, it is recommended to still inform your doctor before taking any medication.

Intake of alcoholic beverages while on treatment with the Levolin Respule may increase the side effects. Hence, kindly avoid consuming alcohol.

Prepare the nebuliser for filling. Twist off the respule top and squeeze all the liquid into the nebuliser. It should be used right away after opening. Put the top on the nebuliser bowl. Assemble the nebuliser and use it as directed. After use, throw away any solution that remains in the nebuliser bowl.
After the day's last treatment, take apart the nebuliser cup and mask or mouthpiece. Wash all these parts with soapy water that is warm and use a mild detergent. Use warm water to rinse all the parts. Excess water is shaken off and they are placed on a clean, dry towel. Allow the parts to dry in the air thoroughly.
