Lrabi Tablet contains rabeprazole, a medication classified as a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It is prescribed for the management of conditions associated with excessive stomach acid production. Specifically, Lrabi Tablet provides relief from symptoms such as acidity and heartburn, which are often caused by gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), commonly known as stomach acid reflux.
Additionally, this medication is used to treat stomach and intestinal ulcers that develop as a result of acid reflux disease. It is also indicated for the treatment of Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome, a rare condition characterized by the formation of tumors that lead to overproduction of stomach acid. Rabeprazole works by targeting and blocking the proton pumps situated in the lining of the stomach.
These pumps are crucial for the secretion of acid into the stomach. By inhibiting their action, Lrabi Tablet effectively reduces the overall amount of acid produced, thereby facilitating the healing of ulcers and alleviating acid-related discomfort.
The symptoms of an overdose with Lrabi Tablets are similar to the side effects in the body. So, if you have consumed a higher dose or think you may have taken too much of the medicine, do not panic and contact your doctor or visit the nearby hospital.
Missing a dose of Lrabi may reduce the effectiveness of the treatment. If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember it. However, if it is nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.
