Magnex Forte 3gm injection is an antibiotic used to treat serious bacterial infections affecting various parts of the body, including the lungs, airways, urinary tract, skin, soft tissues, joints, and bones. It contains a combination of sulbactam and cefoperazone, which work together to kill bacteria by disrupting their cell wall formation. This medication is administered by a healthcare professional in a hospital or clinic setting.
Common side effects may include diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, headache, and pain or inflammation at the injection site. If these side effects persist or worsen, contact your doctor immediately. Before receiving Magnex Forte 3gm injection, inform your doctor about all medications, supplements, existing medical conditions, and pregnancy or breastfeeding status.
Your doctor or nurse will give Magnex Forte 3gm injection. Therefore, it is less likely that you shall receive more of this medicine. However, if you experience loose motions, nausea, vomiting, headache, fits, skin rashes and allergy immediately after taking this injection, inform your doctor as soon as possible.
You will be monitored by your doctor or nurse when the injection should be given to you. It is unlikely that the dose will be missed. However, if you think your doctor or nurse might have missed a dose, inform them.
Magnex Forte 3gm injection acts by killing the bacteria responsible for infections. However, the bacteria make an enzyme (beta-lactamases), which can destroy cefoperazone. Sulbactam inactivates this enzyme and hence helps cefoperazone to function optimally.
The components of Magnex Forte 3gm injection passes into breast milk, inform your doctor if you are breastfeeding, your doctor will tell you if you can use this medicine after assessing the need and benefits.
It is highly unlikely that Magnex Forte 3gm injection will affect your ability to drive.

No, you cannot consume alcohol if you have taken this medicine. It is advisable not to drink alcohol after taking this medicine at least for a week as it can cause side effects like sweating, flushing, headache or fast heartbeat.
Magnex Forte 3gm injection is usually given intravenously or intramuscularly under medical supervision. This medicine will only be given by a nurse or doctor. The route of administration is usually decided by your doctor. Do not self-inject.
